"Burnout is a Community Issue,
not an Individual One"

Facilitated Peer Support Sessions

In these times of social distancing and elevated stress, staying connected is more important than ever before.

The Center for Cognitive Diversity offers a structured environment for peers to come together and process their experiences with people who understand and empathize.

The sessions are confidential and hosted online over Zoom. In response to the COVID-19, we are offering free sessions to healthcare professionals.
"It was really helpful to be able to process  things about work with someone who is both removed from my own personal experience, but still speaks the language.

It was a safe space that freed me to be expressive without having to translate."

Trauma-Informed Reflective Supervision

“Reflective supervision was a critical resource for me as I felt the pressure of changing job roles and navigating difficult conversations... The process gave me real time feedback on how to move forward in challenging situations and brought me overall an improved job satisfaction as I put to use the tools presented during our sessions."

-Bonnie King, professor, Fayetteville, Ak
Our peer support sessions are based on the Trauma-Informed Reflective Supervision model.  This research-based model builds the capacity of individuals, relationships, and organizations by cherishing strengths and partnering around vulnerabilities.’ RS has also been proven to decrease turnover rates of staff by 12% in some studies.

The Center for Cognitive Diversity is adapting this model to meet the needs of service providers who work with populations impacted by trauma. We believe this model will ensure better implementation of Trauma Informed practices in organizations and will reduce the impact of burnout and turnover.
